Jim was worried, Blair had been moody lately. What could possibly be wrong with his guide? Jim had even checked with Naomi, there were no anniversaries or anything approaching, there were no emergencies at the station or university. The only thing that Jim could come up with was them. Blair was unhappy with them, with how things were going.

They had become lovers only a month before. Blair had seemed happy with the turn of events. There had been the pettings and nick names, small gestures and - Jim did a mental double-take. Those had all been initiated by Blair. In fact, even the lovemaking was initiated by Blair more often than him. Was his guppy unhappy with that? Was he feeling that Jim was selfish?

"Blair?"

"Mmm?" Blair mumbled from his books and notes.

"What´s wrong?"

"Mmm??"

"If it's what I think it is, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be so... I don't know, I suppose Carolyn was right when she said that I've got a huge blind spot when it comes to others. I promise, I'll -"

"What are you talking about?" Blair looked at him suspiciously.

"You mean you're happy with us?"

"Take it from the beginning, would you. I think you lost me somewhere around the second sentence."

Jim backtracked his thoughts. "Right. I was telling I'm sorry, but I -"

"No, no, before that."

"Before what?"

Blair sighed. "For a person to apologise, there has to be something the said person's apologising for. What do you think you've done wrong?"

"You mean nothing's wrong?"

Blair blinked. "If you're referring to us, then no. I don't think there's anything wrong. Why do you think there is?"

"Well, you've been kind of... moody lately," Jim said carefully.

"Oh." Blair thought for a moment. "Well, there have been those few quarrels with Professor Wainthrop, the old goat, and the new programme in my laptop's not working, then the car decided to play dead."

Jim stared at him. "You mean..."

Blair stood up and walked over to his lover. "I'm sorry, if I've been snapping at you. I love you and you're the most important thing in my life."

Jim nodded, feeling silly.

"How about I make it up to you?" Blair asked huskily. He was practically wrapped around Jim.

"Sounds good," Jim managed to say before Blair showed him just how good a kisser he was.

Blair certainly made up for any slights during the last weeks, and the next six months.
